We have a strong capability in the development of bespoke applications using PC architecture with solutions developed in C# and Microsoft Visual Basic and VB .Net. Industry standard databases such as Microsoft Access and SQL Server are used as the basis for Client-Server architecture solutions.
We use web-based technology for distributed applications with web-servers providing real-time access to live and historical process data, through web-browsers.
Management information systems generally include Local Area Networks using domain architectures with distributed management using Microsoft Active Directory. These may include dial-up facilities allowing plant information to be accessed remotely - at 'head office' for example. Remote system maintenance is also facilitated by this structure. High levels of security prevent unauthorised use.
Typical applications include network design and installation. We have experience of redundant network installations with ring or star architectures. Fibre backbones and UTP distribution provide reliable installations with few maintenance needs.
